Many people prefer charitable donations in lieu of flowers and we are able to collect and acknowledge these for you at no additional cost.
It is likely you will have a charity or good cause in mind who you would like to benefit from the money donated at the funeral. People usually select a charity relating to the deceased, for example, a local hospice that they stayed at, or a charity linked to their cause of death such as a cancer, heart or kidney charity. If you are publishing an obituary, the details of a chosen charity can be mentioned within the text. Cheque donations only can be received in the post and should be made payable to the nominated charity.
We can collate all monies on your behalf and send to the nominated charity after a period of six weeks. You will receive a letter from us detailing how much was collected and who had contributed to the collection. We will then write to the charity organisation asking them to acknowledge thanks by writing to you.
